Music has been the central thread of my life since childhood.
Born in Iceland and shaped by a lifetime devoted to the piano, my work as a performer explores the meeting point of sound, silence, and presence.
I do not see the piano simply as an instrument of virtuosity, but as a medium through which the inner life of music can be revealed.
My repertoire centres on the great classical and romantic tradition — Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Debussy and Schoenberg, alongside contemporary Icelandic voices.
In performance I seek a space that is both intimate and expansive: where music is not merely heard, but experienced as something living.
Years of study, teaching, and artistic exploration — including a long engagement with the Alexander Technique — have shaped an approach grounded in clarity, freedom, and natural expression.
The aim is simple: to allow the music to speak with honesty and depth.
Having worked with the distinguished pianist Louis Kenner CBE in London I am now based in Scotland where I have participated in the cultural life for decades and continue to perform in both Scotland and Iceland. I perform both in recitals and in more intimate salon settings.
Piano lessons that develop musical understanding, physical ease, and expressive freedom at the piano.
